It turned out to be a good week.
Our little gig went great and the crowd was screaming for more as we left
the stage. First time I ever played on a stage, and i dig it. In some
ways like riding comps.
Our band is useless and still hasn´t come up with a name. The only
suggestion so far was from the drummer who enthusiasticly pitched “4skin”,
only to be shut down by everybody else in the room.
Then I went to Amsterdam wich was fun. Went to a film festival and
watched some pretty nutty documentaries. For instance one about a
Japanese inventor called Dr. Nakamats. He has the world record of all
time with 3000 inventions. The floppy disc is one of them.
He realized that we only use a small percentage of our brain capacity,
except for a few seconds before we die. So…. He invented a notebook
that can be used under water.
He swims under water until he´s close to drowning, and then writes down
his thoughts and escapes death while at it. In other words a bit of a
nutcase, but damn impressive and entertaining:-)
A few hours after returning from amsterdam I went to southern France to
shoot some photos for Camelbak. I rode a pumptrack there that was heaps
of fun, and also rode a spot they call “little rampage”. It´s this place
with big red rocks and lots of red dirt. Really good for shooting some
good pictures, but not the best place for riding. Was good to ride in
some warm weather again, and once again it made me realize how much I need
to build a pumptrack.
Now I will take some time off my bike. It´s good to have a little brake
every winter, cause then I´m even more pumped when i finally get back on
the bike.
I´ll try to keep you updated with some blogs on music and snowboarding
while I have some time off the bike.
Trond working on a few other hobbies, now that the cold Nordic winter is on its way………..
Haha,
In all seriousness though. Trond is off in France shooting with another Scandy Joakim Andreassen. Shooting for some new up and coming articles and ads. So be sure to stay tuned in, for photos and funny stories, that are sure to be had on this trip !
