This trio of slopestyle personalities offers more than just fresh web edits and big time local contests. All three riders live within pedaling distance of the X-Fusion US headquarters in Santa Cruz, CA. The unique ability to work closely with riders on product development and marketing projects has created a comfortable and beneficial relationship for all. X-Fusion looks forward to another year with all three of these athletes and the continued success we hope to share.

2012 marks the 3rd season for Tyler McCaul aboard X-Fusion suspension. He commented, “The last two years with X Fusion have been nothing but awesome for me and I’m pumped to be re-signing with them for 2012! As riders we put a lot of trust in the parts we put on our bikes, and X Fusion suspension has those parts that I trust in enough to put on the bikes that I ride. I also like to be in close contact with my sponsors and the fact that X Fusion’s US headquarters is in my hometown makes it that much easier to continue working with them in 2012!!”

Teva Mountain Games Are Coming!

This February, the world’s top freeride mountain bikers will converge at the 2012 Winter Teva Mountain Games presented by Eddie Bauer in Vail, Colorado. The first-time winter event—modeled after the highly successful summer Teva Mountain Games—gives riders a chance to battle it out in three competitions for significant cash prizes.

Rockstar’s Cam McCaul will be competing. Check out the video below on the event and hit the jump for more info.

The excitement kicks off on Saturday afternoon (February 11) in Vail with the Teva Dual Slalomdownhill bike race, which sends riders head-to-head down snow-packed banked turns and launching off hay-bale drops. Winners will take home their share of the $5000 prize purse.

That evening under the bright lights, riders will compete for $10,000 in the Teva Best Trick Bike presented by Thule, in which they will huck off a massive snow feature to score points for big air, trick difficulty and distinctive style. Teva team athletes Cam McCaul, KurtSorge and Sam Pilgrim are among the pro riders competing for $10,000.

The competition courses were designed by Jeff Lenosky, MTB freeride pioneer and Teva athlete who also influenced thedesign of the Teva Links shoe, which launched last fall.

Also on Saturday, endurance riders will race for $5000 in the Teva On-Snow Bike Crit presented by Chipotle. This fast-paced, short-lap race challenges mountain bikers to stay upright on a snowy course on lower portions of Vail Mountain. Wide tires will be the tool of choice for riders to navigate the varied terrain in this spectator-friendly event.
